And I have been to Kansas City before throughout my travels here on planet earth. And this time it was for a funeral that I visited that 8-Square-Mile “Murder Factory” zip code of 64130 that I saw the People’s City at Occupy City Hall Kansas City from the bus from the airport where protesters and activists were camping out on the Kansas City, City Hall lawn, that I find myself blogging about. And in the midst of a panicdemic and going to that funeral and listening to His Eye Is On The Sparrow and Stairway to Heaven at the service, it was also an attempt to vend those Black Lives Matter necklaces, magnets, key chains & pins and display those your thoughts on black lives matter banners at J.C. Nichols Fountain . There has been protests at the Country Club Plaza to rename Kansas City’s J.C. Nichols Memorial Fountain. J.C. Nichols use of “restrictive covenants”—barring African-Americans from buying or renting homes in his subdivisions are to blame for the stark segregation and racial divides that still exist throughout the metro.

And everyone was at the Kansas City Chiefs game, a drum circle was going on, a barbecue was later and a Blue Lives Matter rally was on the way that day at Occupy City Hall Kansas City. The great reset, new world order temperature checks required for entry.

And according to The Pitch, The KC Coalition for Black Lives includes Black Rainbow, La Chingona Collective, Liberty Lawyers, Operation Liberation, Miller Dream LLC, It’s Time 4 Justice, White Rose KC, Southern Christian Leadership Conference, Urban League and Sunrise Movement KC.

And the flyer that I picked up from The People’s City reception table read:

Those are part of the words on a SEPTEMBER 9/7 REBELLION flyer that I received this past weekend, when I attempted to vend those DecorForU Black Lives Matter, S#!t Just Got Real, Not My President, Occupy Wall Street, Yoga, No Police State, Museum of Reclaimed Urban Space, Washington Square Park, Brooklyn and I Love New York necklaces, magnets, key chains and pins for $2 each next to extinction rebellion‘s extinction rebellion NYC Rebel Fest Gathering event at Washington Square Park this past weekend. And the description of their event invite reads like as follows:

And I am not exactly sure what extinction rebellion is, though I have seen those extinction rebellion flyers around on light poles in the streets of New York City the past year or so, and I could only figure out that the extinction rebellion symbol had something to do with climate change and saving humanity from extinction, from disappearing off the face of the planet, though I think it is Albert Einstein who once said that if the bee disappeared off the face of the earth, man would have only four years left to live. No more bees, no more pollination, no more plants, no more animals, no more man.

And there is also a How Green Is My City Exhibition Tour at Museum of Reclaimed Urban Space – MORUS, that radical history museum in New York City’s Lower East Side, September 25th 6pm.
This exhibition is led by the director of Green Maps. The exhibition is brought to you through a special partnership between the Museum of Reclaimed Urban Space (MoRUS) and the Green Map System, and also an Opening with Live Virtual Tour: How Green Is My City? September 6th. In the basement level of MoRUS, explore a special temporary exhibit featuring photos, art, and barricades from the recent Black Lives Matter demonstrations. “Plywood Windows of SoHo: Black Lives Matter” is curated by James Hong with photographs by Hong and George Hirose. And so I came across this Occupy Wall Street 2016 event at Zuccotti Park in facebookland the other day and found myself at this event just yesterday, an event where there seemed to be more polizei in attendance than people, in an attempt to vend those DecorForU #berniesanders, #blacklivesmatter and #occupywallstreet necklaces, magnets, key chains and pins or $1 each at this event that was systematically shut down years ago. And Occupy Wall Street and that all things police brutality and beyond movements Black Lives Matter are still moving fast as in those photos and videos that find themselves posted above. And that Occu – Evolve schedule for that Occupy Wall Street 5 Year Anniversary at Zuccotti Park read something like:

Black Lives Matter Art Show Is At Chashama

And in the midst of reading the headline news of the day, on this day finds itself as Occupy Wall Street day one thousand and something, I think. And Occupy Wall Street and that all things police brutality and beyond Black Lives Matter movements are still moving fast. And as I had typed in that previous blog post before and had said in that BronxNet OPEN University July 26 2016 video that finds itself posted above, that I am looking forward to that Black Lives Matter Art Show at chashama, and so I thought to post that that Black Lives Matter Art Show is now at Chashama, until September 4th. And if you need space to create, chashama has it, as chashama nurtures artists by transforming unused property into work and presentation space. They give you what you need. SPACE!
chashama presents artists’ works in many different venues, and thanks to the The Durst Organization, artists are able to present their work in the lobbies of many buildings in NYC. Another way in which we can keep alive the cultural richness of our city! And so one of those chashama’s locations has currently been transformed into a Black Lives Matter Art Show. And thank you chasnama or letting me get that artwork out the closet once again to present another one of those Black Lives Matter Art Shows whenever possible. And so that Black Lives Matter Art Show reception happened last week already from 6-8pm according to that Black Lives Matter Art Show Facebook event invite, or noon according to Time Out New York. And the Black Lives Matter Art Show Facebook event invite reads something like as follows:

Handmade Black Lives Matter necklaces, magnets, and key chains will be on sale for $1 during the Opening Reception and all Open Hours.

About the Artist
Carla Cubit’s creates small mixed media assemblage pieces using found objects and materials–often discarded hardware and recycled objects. She weaves tales from castoffs found in the streets. Her works are “highly visionary in nature.” A former resident of the East Village in New York City, Cubit’s artwork has shown in galleries and other venues in NYC. Recently her works have been inspired by the Occupy Wall Street and Black Lives Matter movements. Cubit finds that there is no separation between her daily life and her creative outpouring: “I love the arts in whatever medium it may be; music, theater, dance etc; and I believe in religion, mysticism and the secret meaning of the unknown and art as a universal means of communication.”

A white male police officer told Karyn Gains “I can’t believe you’re raising your kids this way”, meaning raising them to defend themselves and resist police violence. 5 months later, she was murdered in her home and her son was shot by police. When will we stop blaming people of color for their own victimization under white supremacy.

A March To Shut Down Rikers Island

Hey again bloggers or whoever could be reading this blagh. And so along with what seems like the remnants of hurricane Joaquin the other day, in the midst of Occupy Wall Street, Black Lives Matter and beyond, there was another March to Shut Down Rikers Island that was held rain, hurricane or shine in that city of New York on that Island of Queens, at the foot of the bridge leading to Rikers Island. And I guess those photos and videos from that event that day that find themselves posted above can speak for themselves. Rikers Island is NYC’s Abu Ghraib, where individuals in need of care are instead caged, languishing both mentally and physically; a place where those suffering illnesses are tortured not treated, denying them the most basic of human rights.

Most people incarcerated on Rikers Island have not been convicted of a crime. They are unable to afford bail and awaiting their next court appearance and/or trial. Mayor de Blasio shows up for photo shoots in newly renovated portions of the jail complex, while most of it remains in a state of serious disrepair and deterioration. There are frequent sewage backups and water main breaks. The floors and ceilings are crumbling. The heating and ventilation systems don’t function properly. There are rotting showers, toilets, and sinks.

NYC Department of Correction and the Correction Officers Benevolent Association have reaped the benefits of inequality and bloodshed for far too long. Too many lives, homes, and hearts have been destroyed so that a morally bankrupt system may flourish.

And on this day finds itself as Occupy Wall Street Day 1,000 and something. And Occupy Wall Street is still moving fast. And there are chants, chants and more chants and slogans, slogans and more slogans when it comes to Justice For Michael Brown. Walk Out Of School, Walk Out Of Work, Say No More To Police Murder. Hands up. Don’t shoot! Black lives matter. What do we want? Justice! When do we want it? Now! Shut it down! No justice, No peace. No racist police. No more stolen lives! Show me what democracy looks like. This is what democracy looks like. And the list of events and actions for police brutality goes on and on. And what does this have to do with a No Police State. Occupy The NRA .

Occupy The NRA

And I have blaghed on this blagh many times before about gun violence and gun control. So much that I could post the same post over and over. And it almost seems as if nothing changes and everything still remains the same. Guns and the images of guns are still everywhere. And there is Trayvon Martin and a host of others, seemingly black males, who have fallen at the hands of polizei in North America. And now in the headline news there is#Ferguson Missouri, more people falling at the hands of polizei and guns. And then there are school shootings and the list of shootings in various places by various people goes on and on to where one can be afraid to leave home sometimes for fear you might not make it back, because of a gun. And then there is Occupy the NRA. Guns are the worst invention ever. If only guns could be banished from every human being on planet earth. There are no words to me to describe that photo above except to say Occupy The NRA. No one is free when others are oppressed. #IndictAmerica #BlackLivesMatter. And what does this have to do with a No Police State?

Occupy Art Went To Figment NYC

And if I must blogger say, FIGMENT NYC was awesome. And that ferry boat ride that one takes across the water to get to Governors Island and all of its art, art and more art, well that was even more awesome to see New York City and all of its harbor views. And those one hundred and more art projects and art installations, performances and more that found themselves on Governors Island on this Figment NYC day, well they were even more awesome. And so this Figmentevent seems as if it wants photos, photos and more photos and colors, colors and more colors to be added to this post. And so Occupy Art Show was at Figment on this day and some of those photos from this Occupy Art Show find themselves posted above. And even more photos from that Occupy Art Show and FIGMENT NYC on this day find themselves posted in my Occupy Art Show @ Figment NYC Facebook event invite. And the Occupy Wall Street People’s Puppets were there on this day also. And if I would have known that, I would have Occupy Wall Street People’s Puppets went over there to see their show also. And so Figment NYC has come to an end this past weekend. And with that, that Occupy Art Show @ Figment NYC has came to an end as well. And so Figment is off to San Diego, Boston, Toronto, Washington D.C. and even more cities as well in all its Figmentness. And on this day finds itself as Occupy Wall Street Day 997. And Occupy Wall Street is still moving fast, well sort of. Occupy Wall Street, Occupy Art Worldwide.

Occupy Art Was @ Left Forum

Well that Occupy Art Panel at Left Forum at John Jay College of Criminal Justice in that city of New York that I blogged about a week or so ago happened a few days ago. And according to Left Forum, this was their best conference to date. And from what I saw during my time there, despite a panel speaker being missing in action who did not make it to that Occupy Art panel on this day, it was Paul DeRienzo of Let Them Talk who saved the day with his squatter history slide show for the few people who were in attendance. And that slide show was all things squatting and art. And if it wasn’t for Paul and his slide show, that “There will be a slide show presentation of Occupy artwork as well as Lower East Side, NYC Lower East Side Squat History zines” part of Occupy Art’s panel description would have just been false advertising and may not have happened. And so how did the rest of that Left Forum conference go on the last day of their three day conference one may ask, maybe? Well those photos above speak for themselves and a picture can tell a story, or something like that. And on this day finds itself as Occupy Wall Street Day 990.
