A Fast Food Meal

Okay and so here I go with these YouTube video postings again. And I have been finding myself posting these youtube videos every so often when I get into that post a YouTube video on this blog mode because I guess, hey, it’s less writing sometimes in my blogaholic attempt to maintain content for this blog whenever possible. And so that above video titled Six months of the everlasting Happy Meal is from another one of those facebook posts on someones facebook page that I came across that was titled McDonald’s Happy Meal resists decomposition for six months, a photo of a McDonald’s hamburger and french fries that has something to do with that on day 180, the Davies Happy Meal Project still looked the same as when that person bought that meal from McDonald’s, as in that food had not decomposed, molded or changed its appearance in anyway when left on that table for six months. The only change that was noticed was that the food became hard as a rock. Now that’s interesting and it sounds sort of scary to me. Is that just plastic food or something? And so this has me wanting to do that experiment also and go to all of those fast food restaurants to be found here on planet earth and buy all of the Big Mac’s and Whoppers of the world and let them sit around for days and months and see what happens, if anything. Will they even attract insects? Have a great mystery meal day.

Chocolate

Hey Bloggers, or whoever could be reading this blog. Now I understand that chocolate can be the gift of love, though can chocolate also be the gift of hate? And a friend of mine received the above chocolate in that photo as one of those chocolate gifts, break up chocolate, as I guess as in chocolate that one breaks up to eat or cook with. And that friend of mine received what seems like a ton of chocolate in great quantities, or pure sugar, from a friend of theirs. And who on earth could eat what seems like a million pounds or a ton of chocolate and still be standing. Or at least still be standing after eating all of this chocolate in one day. And I thought that this person should give this ton of chocolate to another friend, who should pass it along to another friend, who should give it to another friend and so on and son on and so on, until that chocolate is eaten by someone, anyone. And what a beautiful photo that photo is above is to me, and what a beautiful image the image of chocolate can be. Though is this a gift that one gives to someone they like in great amounts, or is this ton of chocolate a gift for enemies? Have a great chocolate day.

Food Glorious Food

Food, food, glorious food. And I have seen whole books and novels written about the topic of food, that basic necessity in life we all seem to need at some point. And who doesn’t like food? As isn’t bread the staff of life, or something like that. And the list of recipes and articles written about food, and those colorful close up photos of those recipes and ads for food, well they seem to be endless. And then with the topic of food sometimes comes along the topic of diet, nutrition, weight loss, protein supplements, nutritional supplements, vitamins, minerals, food fads , how to eat healthy, how to lose ten pounds in ten days, super herbs, super vitamins, mega super protein drink meals, health rituals and just about every other health ritual one can think of relating to food and beyond. As we are what we eat, maybe, as that saying goes. And whole holidays have been build around the sharing and consuming of food, food and more food. And what would life be like without this substance we eat? And as I find my self blogging about this topic of food, all I can think about is food, food, glorious food.

A Receipt

And it is Sunday again. That sabbath day of rest day of the week. Or is that Saturday? And yet I find myself blogging again. And even with those California wildfires going on, and those North Carolina tornadoes happening, and what seems like the world spinning out of control and falling down all around me, I still find myself blogging again on this Sunday, a day of rest. And there is a food receipt sitting here before me that I have been staring at for a while now from someones birthday party that they choose to have in one of those overpriced expensive restaurants in that City of New York that was not exactly some fast food joint, or was it. And I have been staring at this receipt for a quite a while now only because I find this receipt for a night of dining out in that City of New York sort of a outrageous, some sort a joke I am unable to comprehend. And the bill for this meal of what amounted to $246.00 that automatically tacked on a “20% service charge of 38.40” without even asking anyone, as I guess it’s supposed to be some sort of automatic tip or something, for six people is so out of order to me that I just thought to blah blog about it as follows. And I can think of a what seems like a million different things to do with this $246.00 for what seemed like one glorious $3.00 Chinese dinner. And I found this meal so overpriced, that I could not even enjoy the food. And it is this reason that I find myself on a diet of rice and beans sometimes and not being able to afford to eat out or eat anywhere besides the dumpster diving, in that City of New York sometimes. And even rice and beans seems to be out of reach with affordability these days and times with the price of food going through the roof:

1 PROSECCO 32.00
1 Avacado Tarta L (basically a small cup of guacamole) 11.00
1 White Bean Soup (a cup of beans….) 7.00
1 Yam & Yuca (some french fries) 6.00
1 Spinach Wonton (3 tiny, tiny spinach raviloies) 7.00
1 Risotto (a plate of rice with cheese) 18.00
1 Malaysian Curry 12.00
1 Iron Skillet 11.00
1 S & Konnyaku 17.00
1 Viet Noodle (a bowl of one dollar Chinatown rice noodles) 15.00
1 Sliced Seitan ( a one dollar can of Chinatown wheat gluten) 20.00
1 Edamame (a small portion of a one dollar fifty cents bag of edamame) 5.00
1 (GL) Prosecco 9.00
1 Chocolate Cake L (don’t even remember ordering) 7.00
1 1 Scoop w/Choco 1.00
1 Mango Tapioca L 7.00
1 Fruit Crisp L 7.00
*20% srvchg 38.40*

food 151.00
liquor (the cheapest bottle they had) 41.00
Tax 16.08
service chg (what is this?) 3.40
10:43PM Total Due (and this is where the scary part starts..) 246.48

Voted Best (did they mean most expensive?) Vegetarian Restaurant, 2008.

Have a great food day

The Land Of Fake Food

And so I realized those fruits and vegetables that are to be found in the animal kingdom and on the food chain and in most any food store that is consumed by man and humanity cold be fake, And I realized this when I actually saw fruits and vegetables that were grown all natural, without the use of pesticides and anything else. And these vegetables and fruits were most often full of holes and eaten away by worms, spiders, caterpillars and other earthly beings that are to be found in the dirt of planet mother earth. And then I went to the market to look at these same fruits and vegetable. And even the organic fruits and vegetables. And these fruits and vegetables were pristine, shiny, waxed, spotless, flawless and blemish free. How is that possible? How is it possible to grow perfect blemish free fruits and vegetables without holes in them from the creature of planet mother earths dirt. Even the organic fruits and vegetables. And this gets me to wondering, how fake is the food. How real is the food that one eats, And what bug spray is one eating. And that does not even include the meat. And what would PETA, that People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals group have to say about this. Help save planet mother earth. Peace on earth and goodwill to all mankind.

The Rice

And now in my religious fanaticism thoughts, I am starting to wondering if it is the beginning of the end of the world again as the other days cover of the Metro’s headline read “Hoarding epidemic hits U.S., New York”, as prices of rice, and other staples soar, stores resort to rationing. And this article had a photo and caption of 20 pound bags of rice being rationed. And then that verse in Revelations comes to mind, “And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine”. Behold, is the black horse of famine, the tribulation, the 3rd seal of revelations, the anti christ and doomsday near. What would Nostradamus have to say about this impending silent tsunami famine of global grain shortages. Is this written in prophecy somewhere? Is 2012 here? Is the apocalypse near? Is it judgement day yet? And what about that Albert Einstein quote “If the bee disappeared off the surface of the globe then man would only have four years of life left. No more bees, no more pollination, no more plants, no more animals, no more man,” what would he have to say about all of this. And I saw this recent phenomenon of people hoarding rice with my very own eyes yesterday as if it were really real, walls and walls full of big bags of rice when I went to this store in Chinatown, Asia’s bread basket bowl. And does any of this have to do with those bees that are dying from some sort of fungus and bats that are disappearing from some sort of fungus, and fish that are disappearing, and wheat that is disappearing from some sort of Ug99 fungus, and the price of barrels of oil going up and inflation going up even more from the Federal Reserve and Treasury printing up money to cover all of this national debt crisis and global warming and ecosystems that are collapsing thing? Is this all related. Is the beginning of the end near. Should I go and buy all of the rice I can find now before it is not there tomorrow or something. What does this all mean, Does Wikipedia have an entry for this?

These Oysters

I am on a seafood diet, when I see food, I eat it. I have heard that joke somewhere before. And then there are oysters. I have heard about them and their beautiful pearls they can contain a lot. And aren’t they supposed to be some sort of aphrodisiac or something, though I am not exactly sure how that works. And if you are looking for Gulf oysters, Be Oyster Aware can help you to be aware, be informed, be cautious, be smart, and be sure. And they can also educate you about everything there is to know about the oyster. The have some great oyster recipes on their website also.

And Now The Wheat Is Dying

Revelation 6:6
Then I heard what sounded like a voice among the four living creatures, saying, “A quart of wheat for a day’s wages, and three quarts of barley for a day’s wages, and do not damage the oil and the wine!”

That proceeding phrase is a phrase I just posted for “The bees are dying”, not even a month ago. And now the wheat is dying so says todays am New York. And so says all of those other news reports that have been in the news lately about the price of wheat is going up become it is becoming scarce, because farmers are requesting corn instead of wheat for alternative fuel, and so the price of bread goes up, or something like that. And now todays am New York says “A new virus is striking wheat”. And now the wheat is dying of some deadly disease, much like the bees, were and/or dying of some mysterious disease, and much like the bats who are now dying of some mysterious virus just this past week. Is this all related. Is this the beginning of the eco apocalypse. And what about that housing foreclosure crisis, economy stock market downfall of the United States Dollar versus the Euro, delinquent loans and mortgages, oil at its highest price ever recession, depression story. That’s a whole another blog posting. Where is the world headed, if anywhere. Have a great day.
