Violence. What does that word mean. And for what reason is this word a part of this world and society. Is there a greek, hebrew or latin translation for this word. What is the root meaning and origin of this word. Where does it come from. Does Wikipedia have an entry for this word. And this word is usually not a good word in any sense. And yet it is a part of this world and life on planet earth. And I found myself blogging about that word violence yesterday. And I find myself blogging about it again on this day. And there was an advertisement of a side of a bus I saw that read “I am anti violence and pro respect”. And there was an article in the Metro Newspaper with a title that read “Study: Abuse kills many NYC women”, that said something about 44 percent of all women murdered in New York City between 2003 and 2005 were killed by their intimate partners. And that is a scary domestic violence statistic to me. And there are countless headlines on a daily basis of people who have lost their lives to some form of gun violence or violence with no end in sight. And guns are the worst invention of a death industry ever. And so this led me to ask myself yesterday and again on this day, is humanity inherently violent since the beginning of time with Adam and Eve, Cane and Abel and all of their descendants have inherited some sort of curse to crawl on their belly and suffer some sort of curse for disobeying God in that garden of Eden from the bible story thing. And it seems that as if every since the Bible days, if you believe, that the world has been in some sort of turmoil and brother against brother and man against man and king against king and nation against nation and wars and rumors of wars. And where is society headed today in what seems like to collapse of society and its morals to where it has now become acceptable for films with pornographic titles to be mainstream media. Is this all Kali Yuga and the iron age descending. And that could be a whole another blog posting. And will the world of planet mother earth never not be in some sort of turmoil until the end of time, if ever. Is another world free from and without violence possible. Peace and Love. Peace on earth and goodwill to all mankind.

The Nobel Peace Prize?
And so I have thought all day long about this blog entry and where this blog is going in the blogosphere bloggerworld these days, if anywhere. To blog or not to blog, that is the question. And I have found myself blah blogging on my other blog these days, so much that it wants to confuse me in my blogaholicness sometimes. And on this blog someone posted a comment to a posting a few days ago titled “The Headlines Again” that is about guns and gun violence. And the comment was written by Morgan Lighter and it said: “AH, what a conundrum.
Our Constitution was written at a time when the framers could not possibly have foreseen what a mess we have made of things.
The Supreme Court, by their rulings, has made of mockery of best justice and has also bastardized the Constitution to no end. We might as well use it for toilet paper.
If all the guns in the whole world were to miraculously vanish tomorrow, it still wouldn’t solve the problem. People would still be killing each other, be it with their bare hands, clubs, knives, bombs, etc.
The problem, as I see it, is that we no longer have any sense of morality, brotherly love, nor the wish to help others. We have become a society of ‘me’ rather than ‘we’. As long as I got mine, the rest of you can get stuffed. (I know that’s a broad statement, yes, there are people who care.)
I wish I had the answer, but I don’t. I’ll just keep on being the best person I can be and realize that we are all striving to do the same.
Factoid – The erroneous publication in 1888 of a premature obituary of Alfred Nobel by a French newspaper, condemning him for his invention of dynamite, is said to have brought about his decision to leave a better legacy after his death. The obituary stated – Le marchand de la mort est mort – (“The merchant of death is dead”) and went on to say, “Dr. Alfred Nobel, who became rich by finding ways to kill more people faster than ever before, died yesterday.”
Thus we have the “Nobel Peace Prize.”
How ironic.
Here’s hoping we can all get along.”
Hugh? Could someone tell me out there in the blogosphere about that above part about the Nobel Peace Prize is named after Dr. Alfred Nobel, someone who invented guns. Am I totally misunderstanding this or did I read this passage incorrectly. What is so Nobel about killing someone? And what would Michael Moore and that “Bowling For Columbine” film have to say about this. I think I should Wikipedia this information up to see if my eyes and ears are betraying me. And regardless of this Wikipedia outcome, what does this have to do with a No Police State?
Chico
I have been reading the local papers often and finding myself commenting on interesting articles I read in them lately. And one interesting sentence in an article that caught my eye today was “You never see me draw guns. I want to make the neighborhood something nice to look at. If I see a negative message or mural, I go up to that person and say we need to change something.” That sentence is an excerpt in this weeks The Villager titled “Still keeping it real on L.E.S.: Chico’s message is indelible.” Chico makes his mark a positive on the Lower East Side. Antonio “Chico” Garcia is a graffiti mural artist who has painted thousands of colorful murals on walls throughout the Lower East Side neighborhood in New York, now the East Village for real estate marketing purposes maybe, over the past few decades. The neighborhood is his gallery and he is recognized as a pioneer in graffiti art. The article goes on to say that Chico is tired of graffiti that glorifies drugs and violence, and even made the personal decision some years back to stop doing the neighborhood mural memorials to those lost to violence that launched his career. This article sticks in my mind because Chico speaks for peace and end to violence. As I have written in what seems like every other blog posting, who invented guns? Guns are the worst invention ever. And the news stories are endless of persons losing their lives on a daily basis as the news story was yesterday and the news story will be tomorrow with no end in sight for no reason at all. I could cut and paste my appeal to banish the gun industry and guns from every human being on planet earth and to end the use of the images of guns in all forms of advertising and marketing as I have written in blog posts of the past. I am only one blogger, one voice. Is another world possible. Peace on earth and goodwill to all mankind. And what does this have to do with a No Police State?
The Bystander
“Attorney claims cop punched him, wife”. That is one of the many horrific headlines in today’s Metro New York Newspaper. And one of the many horrific headlines around the world that occur and are occurring on a daily basis with no end in sight. The article states a civil rights attorney and his wife were both punched in the face by a police sergeant after they tried to stop cops from beating a handcuffed teen. And so this similar situation has happened to me and so this situation may have happened to others at one point in ones life. You are a witness to an incident as a passerby and you intervene only to be oppressed yourself. And there are too many of these “Person leaves home, gets caught in crossfire and never makes it back” stories these days. What does one do when you are a witness, an innocent bystander to an incident involving the polizei, a passerby caught in the middle of crossfire of gun play of people who have guns, whether civilians or state sponsored militia? Of people who may think they are cool simply because they have a gun and get their power through the barrel of a gun. It has become the wild, wild west. Caine and Abel are everywhere and the images of guns and violence are everywhere in the media and reflected in our society and culture. The latest trend in advertising by seemingly a lot of people involved in entertainment is of a picture, poster, or photo of a person holding a gun pointed at your face. How has the standards, morals, and values of this world declined this far in these days to where it has now become cool and trendy to portray images and references to violence in all forms of media and advertisement. It seems as if from the beginning of time in cinema, film, television and movies that there has been bad boy characters with guns in their hands to tell humanity on planet earth that it is okay and almost glamorous to kill people. Does not media and violence influence our culture? Is not the media propagating and programming the world to become violent? For what reason is violence entertaining? Is not the media feeding violence to the people? Is it George Orwell’s hate hour every hour? It could be that vicious circle again where crime feeds the media which feeds the advertisers which feeds the population which feeds the media which feeds the crime which feeds the advertisers which feeds the population and so on and so on and so on. It seems to be an industry that keeps everyone in business. What would happen if nobody died tomorrow? And people are losing their lives on a daily basis with no end in sight from this sort of thought, for reason at all. I am only one blogger, one voice. I average about 30 page views a day, I think. Who could actually be paying attention to what I say and write in my appeal to banish guns from every human being on planet earth for peace on earth. Mayors To End Gun Violence, maybe? God Not Guns? The National Rifle Association? The inventor of guns and gunpowder? Who is going to try and change the world, try and create a more peaceful world. Ghandi? Martin Luther King? Jesus Christ? This grip of evil, Satan, seems to have been let loose for a thousand years roaming the earth, seeking to whom he may devour. The Babylon confusion and anomaly is everywhere. Where are we in this state of the world? Is there hope for the world, for this generation in these days, in these times? As these times can be hell on earth, and what are these days, these times? Freedom for all. Is another world possible? And what does this have to do with a No Police State? Have a great day.
Global Warming
Hey Bloggers, todays topic was supposed to be about global warming and how the earth is affected by global warming. Is the earth undergoing unusual weather patterns as a result of global warming? Is the world becoming like the film The Day After Tomorrow? This winter was the warmest worldwide since record keeping began in 1880. And how does this relate to the No Police State and the environment? But I’m still trying to figure out how to set up this site correctly, trial and error and I still have a headache from reading all of these online direction manuals. And I have all but abandoned this blog out of frustration until Eureka! I think I may be getting somewhere with that url address of your site feed thing and how to promote your site cause I don’t think anyone is reading this site except myself now. More news soon. Peace on earth.
Updating the No Police State blog
Hey Bloggers,
Well, I thought about it all nite, what to write about today to update this blog on a daily basis or as much as possible, cause I guess that’s the purpose of maintaining a web log, to ramble and write about what you think and how you feel. Is blogging like a diary or commentary? I’m still trying to figure it all out. So in my daily thought I would say this site is about everything No Police State; peace, politics, freedom, love, art, music, lifestyles, fashion, saving the world and planet mother earth and whatever else comes to mind. Please check out my No Police State song over there on the rite of the page http://cdbaby.com/npsgirl and share your thoughts. I would appreciate your support. Have a great day. Peace on earth.
