A Date

Need a date? Looking for a date? Well, this posting is not exactly about online dating, or speed dating or any of those other modern ways to find that perfect someone in your life, or at least to find someone in your life, though this posting is about the Date Night Movie. And from what I know throughout my travels here on planet earth, it is always fun to go to the movies usually. And in case you haven’t heard of that Date Night Movie yet, you may hear about it when it finds its way to the theaters starting April 9th, 2010 with movie stars Steve Carell and Tina Fey. And you can also find out about it before hand or at some point when you watch that video trailer that happens to be posted in this blog entry above. And with its seemingly self explanatory title, I would assume that this movie has something to do with dating and relationships, a timeless topic I think. And the movie describes itself as a couples adventure over the weekend or something like that. And so if you see this movie yourself I would imagine you would be able to describe it in other ways also. Have a great movie day.

A Grate Performance

And so I found myself at Times Square this past Memorial Day weekend listening to their “Grate Performers – Best of the Buskers” entertainment series of The Underground Horns, The Colin Huggins Show, Xylopholks, NYC Transformerz, some serious break dancers with a gymnastic ability worthy of the Olympics themselves and other buskers who were busking away and entertaining indeed. And what a theater district, street fair and festival that was to behold indeed in all of its neon lights and glory. And that entertainment series of musicians, magicians, dancers, singers and other performance artists is coming and is here this summer to the new Father Duffy Square, 46th and Broadway at the Crossroads of the World in the Great White Way of that city of New York. And Times Square is going green, it’s the new thing with its Green Light for Midtown program and will be closed to vehicle traffic, seemingly a first in history as far as I can remember in my New York Days. And the Naked Cowboy was and seemingly is there in all of his Naked Cowboy, boots and guitar glory. And a fixture he can be as synonymous with the name of Times Square itself these days and times. And lo and behold what a sight to behold, the sight of seemingly an oasis beach complete with lounge chairs and palm trees, all in the middle of the street of Broadway between Times Square and Herald Square with its car free pedestrian walkway plaza. And that pedestrian plazas will be having events and concerts throughout the summer. And so I thought to post that photo and video above of that busking above ground and under ground band The Underground Horns on that Memorial Day and at the Times Square Promenade. And that music, hot dogs and free bar b que ribs rocked that day of a memorial. Have a great Times Square day.

An Entertainer

Hey Bloggers, and somehow I came across this video while youtubeing on YouTube the other day in search of youtubeness and that “Claudine” movie from the sixties, that lead me to “Sparkle” that other classic movie from I think the 80’s that then led me somehow to Donny Hathaway,a composer who has songs in these films. And his songs seem as if they can bring the holy ghost to one with their gospel overtones. And it is really cool to me the idea that one can watch whole films and television shows on YouTube for if nothing else to do, seemingly hours at a time, endless. And so in my search for this Donny Hathaway, Giving Up (Live At The Astrodome) video that came up. it was somehow written that Donny Hathaway was another one of those entertainers who died a tragic death and whose life was cut short, possibly as the result of Hollywood production companies, psychiatry and its psychotropic medications of bug spray chemical lobotomies mainly. And this entertainer seems to have passed along the lines of so many countless entertainers and classic legends as Marilyn, Anna, Keith, Kurt and other entertainers of hollywood who could have possibly become victims of hollywood, the mental death system, psychiatry and contracts. And Psychiatry Kills. Abolish forced involuntary psychiatry treatment. No one is free while others are oppressed. And I do not believe in mental illness. I have always thought of it as problems in living. And those EDP emotionally disturbed people are everyday people to me. And I have always thought of psych cia tricks as legalized drug dealers, mass murderers in white coats, an industry bigger than the war industry originating in Nazi Germany whose origin is of eugenics and genocide. And for all things alternatives to psychiatry, Mind Freedom is a good website to visit for human rights in the mental health system. And what, if anything does this have to to do with a No Police State. Have a great entertainment day.

Law and Order

And it is yet another Sunday on this day that I find myself blah blogging away on this computer yet again. Sunday, that day of rest, the Sabbath, or is that Saturday. And it has been seemingly a while since I have really blaghed about anything that requires much thought, because hey, it’s less writing sometimes. And yet it is one of those headlines that caught my eye the other day titled, or sort of titled, Ad featuring “Yet another Hollywood celebrity who sales their soul for fame and fortune”, ordered off UK TV. And this article goes on to say something like “In London, a TV ad showing “Yet another actor who sales his or her soul for fame and fortune” firing weapons must not be shown because it could be seen as condoning gun violence, Britain’s advertising watchdog said. The Advertising Standards Authority said the ad for the DVD version of Universal Pictures 2008 action flick “Wanted” breached ad codes and should not be broadcast”. And this article seems to be about the Law and Order isms of the world, The Special Victims Unit, NYPD Blue, CSI, The Sopranos, Starsky and Hutch, OZ, Dick Tracy, Dragnet, Miami Vice, Criminal Intent, Murder She Wrote, The Murder Channel, NBC, CBS, FOX, ABC, Universal Media Studios, Universal Pictures, Sony Pictures, major hollywood studios, major television networks, prime time television, primetime late night network television shows and dramas, day time dramas, crime dramas, soap operas, TV series, commercials, feature films, radio, pop culture, and the list goes on and on and beyond that has captivated the universe through entertainment and media, and has its grip on a society. And it seems to be film noir, the glorification of violence, gun violence and gun crime in television and films, as if it is cool to be seen holding a gun, an idea that seems to have existed as long as there has been cowboys and indians and some sort of media outlet. And does an actor, artist or any other entertainer sale ones soul, values and morals for fame and fortune if given the opportunity. And would one be a hypocrite if one were to sale ones soul if given the opportunity. And what would Michael Moore and his Bowling For Columbine film have to say about this. The idea that the majority of programming on network television, at least in that country of North America contains violence. And if only every other advertising watchdog could just follow that Britain and London condoning and ordering gun violence off UK TV’s lead, it seems as if the world could have a chance of being a better place. Does not advertising influence society. And guns are the worst invention of a death industry ever. If only guns could be banished from every human being on the face of planet earth, and the images of guns could be banned from every form of advertising, marketing campaign, newspaper, pop culture, toys, video games, news, television and film. And it is a vicious cycle that feeds upon itself, advertising breeds crime which breeds more advertising which breeds more crime. And what would happen if no crime occurred yesterday, today or tomorrow. Would an industry be out of a job. And it is the emperor who wears no clothes. And for what reason does the word patriot have the word riot in it. Parens Patraie, father of our country, father of the people. Where is the world headed. Is there hope for the world. And I am one voice, one blogger. Is another world possible. Peace on earth and goodwill to all mankind. And what does this have to do with a No Police State.

Show Biz

And there is a ShowBiz Expo coming up soon. I know because those emails sitting in my email inbox from Marc Walters says so. And the title of that email says “Free Registration Now Open”. And I would imagine by the title of this Expo, that this expo has something to do with showbiz. And it does. This Expo is all about film, stage, theater, acting, dancing, singing, comedy, music, producing, directing, performing, writing, composing and just about every form of entertainment one can think of. And everyone in show business will be together under one roof at this expo. And if you are into entertaining of any sort, this entertainment industry event is for you. And there will be workshops, seminars, meetings, showcases, and classes to go along with this expo. And this event is in March of next year and according to their website, there is 102 days left for the big event at the Hilton Hotel in that City of New York, that seemingly show biz capital of the world, I think. Chop Shop

Hey bloggers, I am not exactly sure what this movie trailer for the film “Chop Shop”, by Ramin Bahrani of “Man Push Cart” is all about that I put in this blog post. It is one of those films that I have been following in the news and in its journey through time and travels and premiers throughout the world for seemingly forever since its inception as “The Iron Triangle”. And now this film has finally made its way toward New York City where it opens February 27th at the Film Forum. And the film, or is it a documentary, has something to do with Queens and the invisible people as far as I can figure out. Well, I guess if I want to see more of the film I could just make my way over to that theater when it starts playing. And whatever this film is all about, have a great film day.

Psych Ward

Hey Bloggers, now this is one of those videos from Loose Federation I came across months ago that I am just now finding myself getting around to watching. It’s another video I find interesting enough to want to repost it on this blog. And this one is called “Psych Ward”, I guess because it was filmed in a Psych Ward somewhere in New York City. And though it is not exactly One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest, it does seems to be psych trickery indeed.

Akim Funk Buddha Is Back!

Akim Funk Buddah is Back! So that is what he says in his email that he sent. And from what I remember, he has always been around. This is another one of those emails that I receive every so often that I find interesting to repost because hey, it’s less writing sometimes in my attempt to maintain this blog when I am trying to figure out what to blah blog about. And Akim’s shows are the coolest, the trippiest and rock like nothing you have ever seen before. So again, if you are in the neighborhood of the New York City area, this event may be worth checking out. A Silent Film And Television Show

As I was MyBlogLoging on that great blogger community with a bazillion blogs and more today, I came across this interesting avatar, one of those blogger profile photos that caught my eye. It was that pyramid symbol on the dollar bill of that all seeing eye, that eye that sees everything, that mystical secret unknown Illuminati, free mason secret society thing symbol. And appropriately the title of this blog was called The Views Of The All Seeing Eye Views. And they had a message on their page that stated “With the writers strike about to go into week two, swing by to see some hilarious clips from Jimmy Kimmel’s Unnecessary Censorship. The tears will be from your laughter. Enjoy!” And so I swang by their page and that YouTube video posted below is kind of funny. And the Writers Guild of America is on strike now, and their Hollywood writers strike has the film and television industry silent with no mew material at the moment.
