Another Event

And so here lies another one of those fill in the blank with another one of those recycle this blog posts in an attempt to maintain content for this blog and my other blagh whenever bloggers block possible. And before I post that recycle this blog post, there’s another Facebook event going on tomorrow along with that Commemorate 9/11/01 event that’s going on tomorrow also in that city of New York where I plan to show up and beg to get on stage in between acts to sing my No Police State song.  And that Life After Debt: A Gathering of Refusal Facebook event invite reads something like as follows:

Debt is a way of life; it is the bedrock of a rotten system. From birth, we’re told that in order to achieve success, we have to get into debt. This happens to individuals, towns, cities and countries alike. It affects us all, whether we actually have debt or not. Some of us take out huge mortgages and student loans under the assumption that doing so will allow us to achieve the elusive dream of success. We buy things we can’t afford and work jobs we don’t want, striving towards promises of success that seem to be getting emptier by the day. Despite our best efforts, we struggle to find meaningful work, secure housing, and accessible healthcare. We’ve been buying into the system, but getting very little in return. Meanwhile, banks and credit card companies get rich off our debts and the debts of our communities. Our labor props up a system based on illusory rewards, and we find that we have less and less time for our lives and each other.

It’s time to turn our backs on this system of debt and create something new in its place. In a gesture echoing the draft card burnings of the 1960’s, we will be burning symbols of debt to express our refusal to be conscripted into a life of exploitative work and empty consumerism.

Being in debt can make us feel alone, trapped and inadequate, hopeless in the face of endless bills and service cuts. But debt can also bring us together. We believe we can be free if we invest in one another, rather than in a system that seeks only to take from us. Burning our debts is a celebration of that possibility.

Join us on Sunday, September 9th, at 4pm in East River State Park as we burn our debts and share our stories and hopes for the future. Together, we can step out of the shadows and light the way towards something better. Let’s imagine life after debt.

Wear your Sunday best. Refreshments will be served.

And so back to that recycle this blog post….

Hey Bloggers, is today Martin Luther King Day? That annual holiday of the year that honors the former peacemaker, marcher, minister, activist, civil rights leader of the past. I have been seeing emails today titled “The I Have A Nightmare Speech”, and “In honor of Dr. King on his 79th birthday Jan 15th”. Oh, so maybe January 15th is his birthday, and that was yesterday wasn’t it? Let me look at that Gregorian calendar again and see what it says….. Well this calendar that I am looking at says January 21 is Martin Luther King Day, so either this day is here or it is near. And when I think of Martin Luther King, I think of that German guy, Martin Luther, the guy who started the Protestant church, and those other great peaceful leaders from the 60’s, John F. Kennedy, Rosa Parks and even Gandhi, the guy who gave up his worldly belongings to wander the earth and preach peace. And what the heck is that “I have A Nightmare Speech” email all about that I received in my inbox today. That email title looks interesting enough that I want to read it now to see what it says…. And I just read it, and that email is a very long anonymously written passage that I am not exactly sure what to make of that reads:

The “I Have a Nightmare Speech”

I am happy to join with you today in what will go down in history as an insignificant demonstration for complacency in the history of our nation.

Five score hours ago, a White middle class American, in whose symbolic shadow we stand today, signed the credit card bill for his Starbucks Latte. This momentous decree came as a great beacon light of hope to millions of mainly “so and so” middle class ego trippers who had been seared in the flames of withering insignificance. It came as a joyous daybreak to end the long night of their obscurity.
But one hundred hours later, the mainly “so and so” middle class loiterer still is not in control of the world. One hundred hours later, the life of the mainly “so and so etc;” middle class American is still sadly crippled by the manacles of insignificance and the chains of absurdity. One hundred years hours later, the mainly middle class American lives on a lonely island of barely moderate prosperity in the midst of a vast ocean of material poverty. One hundred hours later, the mainly middle class American is still languishing in the center of American society and finds himself an non-entity in his own land. So we have come here today to dramatize a shameful condition.

In a sense we have come to our nation’s capital to ask for a check. When the architects of our republic wrote the magnificent words of the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, they were signing a promissory note to which every mainly middle class American was to fall heir. This note was a promise that all mainly White middle class men, (but, of course, not black men or Latino men or poor White men and certainly not most women), would be guaranteed the unalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

It is obvious today that America has defaulted on this promissory note insofar as her mainly middle class citizens are concerned. Instead of honoring this sacred obligation, America has given the mainly middle class American people a bad check, a check which has come back marked “insufficient funds.” But we refuse to believe that the bank of justice is bankrupt. We refuse to believe that there are insufficient funds in the great vaults of opportunity of this nation. So we have come to demand this check — a check that will give us upon demand the riches of freedom and the security of justice taken from the labor and resources of those who are not fortunate enough to be “So and so” and/or middle class and We have also come to this hallowed spot to remind America of the fierce urgency of now. This is no time to engage in the luxury of cooling off or to take the tranquilizing drug of gradualism. Now is the time to make real the promises of democracy. Now is the time to rise from the dark and desolate valley of segregation to the sunlit path of racial justice. Now is the time to lift our nation from the quick sands of injustice against the mainly “so and so” middle class to the solid rock of brotherhood. Now is the time to make justice a reality for all of God’s “So and so” and middle class children.

It would be fatal for the nation to overlook the urgency of the moment. This sweltering summer of the mainly middle class legitimate discontent will not pass until there is an invigorating autumn of freedom and equality. Two Thousand and Eight is not an end, but a beginning. Those who hope that the mainly middle class needed to blow off steam and will now be content will have a rude awakening if the nation returns to business as usual. There will be neither rest nor tranquility in America until the mainly middle class is granted the citizenship rights of everyone in the world. The whirlwinds of revolt will continue to shake the foundations of our nation until the bright day of justice for mainly middle class people emerges.

But there is something that I must say to my people who stand on the warm threshold which leads into the palace of justice. In the process of gaining our rightful place we must not be guilty of wrongful deeds. Let us not seek to satisfy our thirst for freedom by throwing drink from the cup of bitterness and hatred in the face of other people.

We must forever conduct our struggle on the high plane of dignity and discipline. We must not allow our creative protest to degenerate into physical violence. Again and again we must rise to the majestic heights of meeting physical force with soul force. The marvelous new militancy which has engulfed the mainly middle class community must not lead us to a distrust of all non – “so and so” people, for many of our non “So and so” brothers and sisters, as evidenced by their presence here today, have come to realize that their destiny is tied up to be beneath our destiny. They have come to realize that their freedom is inextricably bound to our freedom. We cannot walk alone but must have all others beneath us and carrying our luggage and a beer or two in case we get thirsty.

As we walk, we must make the pledge that we shall always march ahead of all other people. We cannot turn back and even look at those less fortunate than us. There are those who are asking the devotees of civil rights, “When will you be satisfied?” We can never be satisfied as long as the mainly “so and so” middle class is the victim of the unspeakable horrors of not enough police brutality against those who challenge our privileges and superiority. We can never be satisfied, as long as our bodies, heavy with the fatigue of travel, cannot gain free lodging in the motels of the highways and the hotels of the cities. We cannot be satisfied as long as the mainly middle class’s basic mobility is from a smaller job or career to a larger one. We can never be satisfied as long as our children are stripped of their selfhood and robbed of their dignity by signs stating “Not For “So and so” Middle Class Only”. We cannot be satisfied as long as a middle class person in Mississippi cannot win all the votes and a middle class in New York believes he actually has to vote in order to win an election. No, no, we are not satisfied, and we will not be satisfied until justice rolls down like waters and righteousness like a mighty stream inot our pockets every time we want something.

I am not unmindful that some of you have come here out of great trials and tribulations. Some of you have come fresh from narrow jail cells. Some of you have come from areas where your quest for free money left you battered by the storms of persecution and staggered by the winds of the lack of police brutality to help you get richer. You have been the veterans of creative suffering. Continue to work with the faith that unearned money is redemptive.

Go back to Mississippi, go back to Alabama, go back to South Carolina, go back to Georgia, go back to Louisiana, go back to the slums and ghettos of our northern cities, knowing that somehow this situation can and but never will be changed. Let us not wallow in the valley of despair – they are not going to ever overthrow us.

I say to you today, my friends, so even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a nightmare. It is a nightmare deeply rooted in the American horrors.

I have a nightmare that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: “We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all middle class men are created equal.”

I have a nightmare that one day on the red hills of Georgia the sons of former slave owners and the sons of former business owners will be able to sit down together at the table of the exploitation of brotherhood.

I have a nightmare that one day even the state of Mississippi, a state sweltering with the heat of injustice, sweltering with the heat of oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice and a nice place to rip people off.

I have a dream that my four little middle class children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their bank accounts.

I have a nightmare today.

I have a nightmare that one day, down in Alabama, with its vicious racists, with its governor having his lips dripping with the words of interposition and nullification; one day right there in Alabama, little black boys and black girls will be able to join hands with poor working class little white boys and white girls as sisters and brothers all helping the mainly middle class become more prosperous.

I have a nightmare today.

I have a nightmare that one day every valley shall be exalted, every hill and mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made plain, and the crooked places will be made straight, and the glory of the Money shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together.

This is our hope. This is the faith that I go back to the North with. With this faith we will be able to hew out of the mountain of despair a stone of hope. With this faith we will be able to transform the jangling discords of our nation into a beautiful symphony of subordinated brotherhood. With this faith they will be able to work together to make us richer, to pray together to make us happier, to struggle together to serve us better, to go to jail together if they disobey us, to stand up for free money for us together, knowing that they will be never be free but will serve us forever..

This will be the day when all of God’s middle class children will be able to sing with a new meaning, “My country, ’tis of thee, sweet land of liberty for me, of thee I sing. Land where my fathers stole, land of the pilgrim’s theft, from every mountainside, let free money ring.”

And if America is to be a great nation this must become true. So let free money ring from the prodigious hilltops of New Hampshire. Let free money ring from the mighty restaurants of New York. Let free money ring from the heightening Alleghenies of Pennsylvania!

Let class domination and privilege ring from the snowcapped Rockies of Colorado!

Let class domination and privilege ring from the curvaceous slopes of California! (Or at least from Santa Monica and the Westside and especially from the Peace Center)

But not only that; let class domination and privilege ring from Stone Mountain of Georgia!

Let class domination and privilege ring from Lookout Mountain of Tennessee!

Let class domination and privilege ring from every hill and molehill of Mississippi. From every mountainside, let free money for US ring.

And when this happens, when we allow class domination and privilege to ring, when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God’s White middle class children (and a very small number of token Black men and Latino men Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics – but no Muslims or Hindus), will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old middle class spiritual, “Free money at last! free money at last! thank God Damn Almighty, we are have free money at last!”

The Need To Be “Maladjusted”

Modern psychology has a word that is probably used more than any other word. It is the word “maladjusted. ” Now we all should seek to live a well—adjusted life in order to avoid neurotic and schizophrenic personalities. But there are some things within our social order to which I am proud to be maladjusted and to which I call upon you to be maladjusted. I never intend to adjust myself to segregation and discrimination. I never intend to adjust myself to mob rule. I never intend to adjust myself to the tragic effects of the methods of physical violence and to tragic militarism. I call upon you to be maladjusted to such things. I call upon you to be as maladjusted to such things. I call upon you to be as maladjusted as Amos who in the midst of the injustices of his day cried out in words that echo across the generation, “Let judgment run down like waters and righteousness like a mighty stream.” As maladjusted as Abraham Lincoln who had the vision to see that this nation could not exist half slave and half free. As maladjusted as Jefferson, who in the midst of an age amazingly adjusted to slavery could cry out, “All men are created equal and are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights and that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.” As maladjusted as Jesus of Nazareth who dreamed a dream of the fatherhood of God and the brotherhood of man. God grant that we will be so maladjusted that we will be able to go out and change our world and our civilization. And then we will be able to move from the bleak and desolate midnight of man’s inhumanity to man to the bright and glittering daybreak of freedom and justice.

And after reading these passages from above in observance of Martin Luther King Day, I think of that social tees t-shirt that I have seen with the words black, white, red, yellow and brown crossed out and replaced with the work human. And I think to post that coexist photo again on this day. That humanity can coexist together in a peaceful world. No one is free while other are oppressed. Is another world possible. Peace on earth and goodwill to all mankind. And what does this have to do with a No Police State?

Occupy This Event

Hey again bloggers or whoever could be reading this blagh. And besides those political conventions that seem to be in the headline news these days, a whole lot of other events seem to be going on. And I know that a whole lot of other events are going on, specifically in that city of New York because all of those Facebook events and email announcements that find their way into my inbox says so. And on this day finds itself as Occupy Wall Street Day 356, a week or so away from the #S17 anniversary of that global revolution. And Occupy Wall Street is still moving fast. And so in my social media web 2.0 user generated content attempt to maintain content for this blagh and my other blog whenever blaghers block possible, some of those events are as follows because hey, it’s less writing sometimes, I think.

Commemorate 9/11/01 Concert: Sunday, September 9th, 2012, 2:00pm. Wombat In Combat, Comrades, Alien, Mans Gin, Atruth, Carla Npsg, David Peel. Tompkins Square Park, 7th Street Ave A, New York, New York. And from what I Carla Npsg blogger know for this event, more bands and speakers to be announced. And I think the title of that event and the history of that park speaks for itself.

Go: a community-curated open studio project : On September 8–9, 2012, from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm, artists across Brooklyn will open their studio doors, so that you can decide who will be featured in an exhibition at the Brooklyn Museum. And I just know #gobrooklynart is happening this weekend because I have received what seems like a million come look at my art in my studio emails and announcements from what seems like a bazillion different artists in a million different locations who will be showing their artwork as part of this event.

Spectra Showdown: And in case you haven’t heard, some big oil company is looking to blow up the ground in New York and New Jersey to run a fracked pipeline through it, or something like that. Frack is wack.

The right of all NYC citizens to be free from a radioactive pipeline coming into our city and into our homes with our cooking & heating fuel.

Texas Gas vs. the People of NYC

Spectra, you’ve been warned. Get out of Town, We don’t like your kind around here.

They’ve been laying the infrastructure and groundwork to move in. They’ll be importing hydro-fractured gas (using this most toxic type of extraction method) into the West Village, thereby creating more demand for this gas, thereby creating more hydro-fractured sites across the country, including our very own upstate New York and Catskills, and thereby endangering our water supply. It looks definite that Spectra will break ground next week.
We are going to prepare ourselves to shut them down on arrival. It’s Showdown time! Put on your toughest Clint Eastwood face, bring your signs, noisemakers, snacks, puppets, instruments, songs, chants and prepare to tell the dirty extraction industry, “Go ahead. Make my day.”

Wear a costume! Bring a sign, an instrument, anything to help spread the word to the people most affected by this, the residents of the NYC and NJ.

WHAT:
The “New Jersey-New York Expansion Project” is a proposed high-pressure gas pipeline, varying in diameter from 42-30″ and slated to travel up the New Jersey shoreline, through the edge of Staten Island, under Jersey City and across the Hudson River, entering Manhattan at the Gansevoort Peninsula in the West Village. It is known more commonly by the name of its builder’s parent company, Spectra Energy.

WHY:
We must take a stand to defend our communities; upstate, NYC, New Jersey, all places where hydro-fracking rears its ugly head. The gas industry thinks they can sneak in and set up shop in NY and we’ll just lie there and take it while they destroy our farmland, water and air quality, expose our homes to radon and put us in a blast zone. They’re dead wrong.
Monday night we follow in the footsteps of our brave climate justice comrades and we fight back. Please join us.

WHERE:
Gansevoort and Hudson River Greenway – You can cross over the West Side Highway at 14th St., at Horatio St. or at W.12th St. to get to the Greenway. Look for the Department of Sanitation Building, and adjacent to this is a HUGE crane. This is the site. This is Spectra Energy.

Vote For Me


And I think I must be running out of things to blagh about on this blogging day when I start posting photos like those ones that find themselves posted above in my attempt to maintain web 2.0 social media user generated content for this blog whenever bloggers block possible. And those photos that I came across throughout my travels in internetland on this internet day read something like “VOTE FOR THE POLITICIAN YOU CAN TRUST (with that A for anarchist symbol below those words and then above the words Nobody 2012.” And then there’s that other photo I came across in facebookland that reads something like “Freedom Is A State Of Mind. Political Language Explained. Liberate/Occupy. Transparency/Secrecy. Hope/You’re Screwed. Change/More of the same. Promise/I’m lying. Bail out/Legal robbery. Sustainability/We want you dead. Terrorist/Anyone who stands in our way. War on terror/War of terror. Spreading Democracy/Forcing Imperialism. Citizen/Slave. News/Propaganda. Freedom Fighter/CIA/Private mercenary. Voting/False hope. Central bank/Pyramid Scheme. Conspiracy theorist/Shit, they’re on to us”. And even with those headline news of the day having something to do with that vote for us of a Republican National Convention and a don’t vote for them of an Occupy Tampa and that Hurricane Isaac threatening to wipe and wash everyone out to sea, and gun violence seeming to be never ending so much that that satirical of a newspaper The Onion finds itself with headlines that read Nation Celebrates Full Week Without Deadly Mass Shooting, and those states of New York and New Jersey find themselves under a Frack is wack frack attack, today still finds itself as Occupy Wall Street Day 347, a few weeks before the anniversary of that global revolution. And Occupy Wall Street is still moving fast. And what, if anything, does this have to do with a No Police State. Occupy Wall Street Worldwide.

The Streets Of New York

Now this is a new one to me going my way in one of those New York City subways. Since when does an NYC MTA NYPD person get all dressed up in full regalia to impersonate a hasidic jew, complete with long sideburns, yarmika, scarf, black pants and white shirt to arrest people, or give them tickets or something, at the fare gate attempting to go their way in those nyc subways. And in other blah blogger topics of those mean streets of New York City, I came across this following article in The L Magazine to be found on those street corner boxes in that city of New York, that writes about those Brooklyn hipsters so much that I wonder if it should be called The Brooklyn Hipster Magazine instead. And this NYC’s Hit-and Run Loophole was such a compelling article that I thought to repost it on this blog in hopes that one day that city of New York could change it’s laws to where pedestrians and cyclists are not treated like disposable roadkill every time there is an accident where drivers are basically told to keep going, sent home and barely even given a parking ticket as if the streets are built for cars and not people. And that article reads something like as follows:

 NYC’s Hit-and-Run Loophole

On May 24, Roxana Sorina Buta was walking to the train from her job in the West Village, crossing east on Broadway, on the south side of 14th Street, with the light, when the dump truck turned the corner, ran her over, and killed her. The truck never slowed down, witnesses reported, even though people at the scene chased it for blocks, yelling and waving. The driver later claimed he didn’t see Roxi, or the numerous people trying to get his attention. And, because of NYC’s hit-and-run loophole, the driver of the truck—a city employee—has never been arrested, and probably never will be.
New York State law says that drivers who leave the scene of an accident may be charged with a felony. But in NYC, if the driver claims not to have seen the victim, and without explicit contradictory eyewitness testimony to compel an understaffed Accident Investigations Unit, they almost always get off with a misdemeanor—or no charge at all. Even if they kill someone. Like Roxi.
I never got the chance to know Roxi well. We met working at Bar 6. I was struck, and a little intimidated, by how beautiful she was—how she stared at me, big brown eyes unblinking, cigarette perched between her delicate fingers, as she tried to dump her brunch shifts on me. She could present herself so seriously, then burst into a fit of giggles that revealed how young she really was. I used to tease her, singing, “The name on everybody’s lips is gonna be…,” to which we’d both laugh out, “Roxi!!” She was studying to be an actress. She might have made it too, if she’d lived past 21.
In the confusing weeks following Roxi’s death, the NYPD said it did not have footage of the accident, even though it happened in Union Square, where cameras are ubiquitous. We also heard that the truck belonged to a private sanitation company, and was not city property, which would prove untrue. When footage did turn up, we were certain they would arrest the person who’d killed her. None of us believed Roxi’s name would join the list of recent hit-and-run victims denied justice, from Michelle Matson, who barely survived being struck by a speeding car in Greenpoint, to Mathieu Lefevre, who died after being dragged by a truck in Williamsburg, an accident scene of which the police initially denied having photos. None of us knew that, as Gothamist has reported, of the 241 pedestrians or cyclists killed in car accidents in NYC in 2011, only 17 of the drivers responsible faced criminal charges.
That’s why Roxi’s friends and family have started a petition at Change.org, calling for the city to amend its laws so that all hit-and-run drivers that kill someone are charged with manslaughter. One of the memorial posters for Roxi said that if a driver is able to hit someone head-on and not notice, “then driving one of these trucks is no different than shooting a loaded gun with your eyes closed.” Help us tell Bloomberg, and the NYPD, and the city’s DAs, that our eyes are open. And they’re looking for justice.

Anthem of the 1%

And somehow I came across this flyer with Anthem of the 1% on it from one of those Occupy Wall Street events or something that The Raging Grannies they were raging and singing at. And it’s a tune that was written by The Raging Grannies. And those Grannies that rage seem to rage all things political and beyond. An Access A Ride To Jail

And if I must blogger say on this blaghing day, yesterday was one of those kind of a go to jail in an Access-A-Ride kind of days. And it is not so often, every so often that I find myself blah blogging about Disabled In Action being taken to jail to the NYPD house of polizei photo that finds itself posted above. Yet this is one of those Disabled In Action goes to jail posts about one of those Access-A-Rides that actually brought them to that Occupy Gracie Mansion event to be found in the city of New York at the Mayors house, well one of the Mayors houses I think,  as part of that 2012 NYC Mayor’s Awards in honor of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) in the first place. And is this another one of those takeoffs of the New York Department of Polizei commandeers whole city buses to take Occupy Wall Street to jail routines again? And on this day finds itself as Occupy Wall Street Day 328 . And Occupy Wall Street is still moving fast. And what’s that other photo all about that finds itself posted above also of that yellow star of David? Well that has something to do with psychiatric survivors being the first group killed during Nazi Germany genocide gentrification. No one is free when others are oppressed. Is another world possible? And Psychiatry Kills. Abolish forced psychiatric treatment. And for all things alternative to psych cia treatment and the mental death system, Mindfreedom is a good website to visit. The Headlines Yet Again And Again

And there has been countless acts of gun violence and massacres seemingly in the past week and month in this country of North America, in theaters, schools, parks, churches, public places, too many acts of gun violence to keep track of it seems, each seemingly competing for its own media attention headline, so many that I thought to repost this blog post that found itself posted on this blog sometime a while ago.  And it seems to be the age of Kali Yuga, enough to make one wonder, maybe, if they leave home, will they make it back. And Mayors Against Illegal Guns is a Facebook page that comes to mind. If only that page could read Mayors Against Guns altogether.

And even though on this day finds itself as Occupy Wall Street Day 180, and Occupy Wall Street and those global revolutions of a movement Occupy Together are still moving fast, I still turn on the computer to find headlines that read 1 dead, 3 wounded in gunfire near Texas courthouse, and such and such shoots such and such at such and such a place for such and such a reason, every reason except the topic of gun control…, on a daily basis with seemingly no end in sight to where one becomes numb in that I find myself posting this following blog post that was posted on this blog some time a while ago. And even though the names and places may change, the story still remains the same.

The Headlines Again And Again

And there it is in the headlines in the news again today. The AM New York says it was the fourth shooting at a U.S. school in a week. Another person has lost their life to the latest rampage of the day. It is in the news on a daily basis so much that I am just going to repost a blog entry I posted just a few days ago:
There is was in the headlines again yesterday. A rampage occured in a different state of America everyday this past week and another person has lost their life to gun violence with no end in sight. And it seems as if I could almost devote this blog to reposting and repeating this blog entry over and over on a daily basis with no end in sight. The following is a blog entry that was posted a few das ago:
There it is in the news again today. Again, I could cut and paste my blog entries over and over in my appeal to banish guns from every human being on the face of planet earth and to end the use of the images of guns in all forms of advertising, marketing, film and television as I have written in blog posts of the past. Does not advertising influence society. Guns are the worst invention of an industry ever. The am New York had an interesting statistic in an article titled “Guns and people”; there are nine guns for every ten people in the United States, a scary statistic. And there is another interesting article in their paper titled “Mayors band together to combat gun violence”, some sort of acknowledgement that there is a problem. And The Villager has interesting statistics in an article titled “”Lower East Siders blast back against gun violence”, New Yorkers Against Gun Violence, told a forum that 30,000 people a year are killed in gun violence nationally. And yet another person has lost their life to gun violence, and everyday someone loses their lives to acts of gun violence for whatever reason and no reason at all except for the fact that guns have been invented. It is a story that has been told in yesterdays headlines and will be told in tomorrows headlines with no end in sight. It is an industry that feeds on itself, advertisement and sensational nationalism breeds crime which breeds news, which breeds crime, which breeds more advertisement which breeds more crime. Will the cycle of the beast that has it’s grip on humanity ever end. Should not guns be abolished from humanity as a whole, from everyone on the face of planet earth. And then there is that constitutional 4th amendment, the right to bear arms that should be abolished or rewritten to abolish guns and replace them with sticks and stones or something. The idea that property, material goods are worth more than life. It seems as if it is that story “The Emperor Wears No Clothes” and the whole world is paying with the loss of human life which seems to be a disposal commodity in the war industry of people against humanity. Are the slaughters of wars debasing the value of human life? Will the beast, who or whatever it is, ever release it’s grip on mankind? Are the standards of social behavior declining? Is there a worldwide moral breakdown? Is society collapsing? Where is the world headed, is there hope? And one could turn the page of the newspaper and forget about these stories and daily atrocities of the world, yet they still exist. And I watched that film Bowling For Columbine by Michael Moore the other day. It is an amazing docuentary to me never seen before in the history of time. And the on the back cover jacket for this film it says: “Acclaimmed filmaker Michael Moore (Roger & Me) takes aim at America’s love affair with guns and violence in this Oscar winning film that “demands attention” (People)! Mixing riveting footage, hilarious animation and candid interviews with everyone from the NRA’s Charlton Heston to shock rocker Marilyn Manson, Bowling for Columbine is a “brilliant” (The Hollywood Reporter) tour de force of filmaking.” I am one voice, one blogger. If only it were possible to go back in time before guns existed. Is another world possible. Peace on earth and goodwill to all mankind. And what does this have to do with a No Police State?
And this latest massacre of the day story, as well as another loss of life story of the day earlier this week are also a psychiatric state. So much that I just find myself reposting the same blog entry I posted just a few weeks ago it seems: And what doe these stories have to do with a No Police State?

And my friend gave me a flyer as we were discussing the latest atrocity of the day in relation to gun violence. It is a flyer she received back in April at Union Square Park of New York City. And it is a flyer about gun violence and psychiatry. The Pharmaceutical industry is bigger than the war industry. Psychiatry Kills. Abolished forced psychiatric treatment. And what’s that “One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest” film by Ken Kesey all about anyway. That’s a whole another blog posting. For all things human rights and psych cia trickery and alternatives to the mental death system, Mind Freedom is a great website to visit. I am one voice, one blogger. Is another world possible. Peace on earth and goodwill to all mankind. And what does this have to do with a No Police State?

What caused the tragedy in “this state”?

It was reported in the Times and the Post Wednesday:

The killer had been taking anti-depressants.

All too often in the present age, we hear the tragic news of a senseless massacre somewhere in the country. Experience has shown, that the killer has almost always, if not absolutely always, been someone who had been prescribed anti-depressants.

The killers with names were kids who had been prescribed the anti-depressant ritalin.
The man who shot someone at this place had been prescribed an anti-depressant whose classic symptom is extreme rage directed at one specific person. The killers in the recent massacres in three different states, also one in another state, had been taking various prescription anti depressants.

Pharmaceutical drugs are prescribed, not as a last resort but as a first thought, not hesitantly but hastily and with excess. They are not properly used, but abused, with no thought of the side effects of taking chemicals which nature did not produce and evolution did not plan for us to be subjected to, like bug spray or insecticide. And this is not a small and isolated phenomenon, but rather a deliberate and systematic poisoning of the bodies and minds of the American people, on an epidemic scale.

The concentration of power, Mr. Moneybags, the State, which controls the American military-industrial complex and the pharmaceutical chemical companies that are an integral part of that system, the State, which, as Eisenhower warned, would one day gain undue influence and endanger our Liberties, has an interest in promoting this epidemic scourge of prescription drug use. Hundreds of billions of dollars a year, are made by the corporations that sell these drugs. It is big business. In addition, the State which experience has shown, for thousands of years all over the globe, tends to want to empower itself and dis-empower the People, gets exactly that benefit from this epidemic of drug use. Power and authority, competency and incompetency breeds corruption. It dis-empowers individuals by making them unhealthy. And it dis-empowers the community and the nation, by making people distrustful of each other; by making people think that their neighbor is a crazy person who they must be protected from; by persuading the People to accept, even to demand, increased police power of the State to protect them. Under such conditions even the will to independence vanishes.

The innovations of scientists and engineers are stolen and subverted by the concentrations of power; a virtue has become a vice, and chemical technology, which can and of right ought to be a liberating force in society, becomes enslaving.

Doctors are encouraged, by the drug industry, to prescribe artificial drugs to their patients. It is a regular practice, for the drug companies to pay a doctor a fee every time that doctor prescribes one of their drugs. It is no secret. In this way, the basic essential character of the American medical profession becomes one of conflict of interest.

The companies that make these drugs exert a great deal of pressure upon the mass media. There are huge advertising contracts, and there is an overlap of ownership between the drug companies and the media companies. The fact that a mass murderer was taking prescription drugs, is one of those things that will show up once in the newspapers, but is immediately and finally buried, and mum becomes the word.

There have been a thousand analyses of the killer in papers, of his history, his personality, his psychological problems; there have been a thousand demands for increased police powers; there have been a thousand calls for the outlawing of guns, and a general de-clawing of the People. But has anyone asked, how is it that society produces so many sick people?

Prescription anti-depressants are known to be a common cause of suicide; they are known to be a constant presence in senseless massacres. Surely the number of individual murders caused by these drugs must be many times greater than the number of massacres. And if there are so many suicides and murders, how many people taking pharmaceuticals must be gravely suffering, but have not quite yet arrived at the point of suicide or murder?

This epidemic of drug use, this deliberate poisoning of the bodies and minds of the American people, this deliberate, and thus far largely successful, did-empowerment of the American people, must stop. It is our purpose to reveal this truth to the American people, so that we may once again live in a sane and healthy society and the tragic deaths of so many good people in this State shall not have been in vain.

Arizona, gun violence and crime finds itself in the news on this day. And what would happen if there were no crime today, yesterday or tomorrow, would a lot of people be out of a job? The fact that another person has lost their life to gun violence, yesterday, today and tomorrow with no end in sight, for no reason at all except for the fact that guns have been invented. And though the names may change, the death industry game seems to remain the same. As it seems to be an industry that feeds upon itself. The film noir, marketing and advertising of guns and gun violence in all forms of media advertising that breeds gun violence which breeds crime, which breeds news stories about crime which breeds more marketing for crime and images of violence etc. And for what reason do crime dramas and images of gun violence make up about what seems like ninety nine percent of programming on American television. Does not advertising and programming influence and program society. Guns are the worst invention ever. If only guns could be banished from every human being on planet earth. And what would happen if all of those criminal, civil, supreme, federal, local and other kinds of court houses here on planet earth for this industry of crime would close tomorrow? Would even more people be out of a job? And is war a money racket. And who can stop the war. No one is free when others are oppressed. And I am one blogger. And of a seemingly bazillion news articles that always seem to focus on the personality of the person who has a gun instead of gun control, below in one article from the New York Times on this day that addresses the problem of gun control and gun violence instead of someones personality who has that gun that I thought to repost. No one is free when others are oppressed. Is another world possible. And what, if anything does this have to do with a No Police State?

A Gun Knife Show

And one this day here on planet earth according to that Gregorian calendar on the wall finds itself another one of those Sundays that has rolled around, the day of the sun, the day of rest, the sabbath, or is that Saturday. And yet I find myself blogging away. Okay, it’s actually Saturday according to that Gregorian calendar on the wall. This is just another one of those posts from my other blog. And so this post happens to be about a Kansas City Missouri Gun Knife Show . A Kansas City, Missouri gun and knife show? What? Hugh? Doesn’t that inner city seemingly bombed out of a ghetto war zone of a city where the only stores open are the churches and liquor stores and one has to be in before dark to avoid not being able to be in before dark, and the latest fashion trends are white t shirts being sold in stores the length of full length dresses for everyone to wear already have enough guns and gun violence going on other than to have gun expo advertisements being advertised all around town as if that town could be the wild wild west or something straight out of one of those cowboy and indians television shows in need of even more gun violence. And as I last I remember reading, isn’t that zip code of 64130 of where the highest crime rate in Kansas City Missouri occurs already known as The Murder Factory ? And yet those $2 off admission next weekend gun – knife show at the KCI Expo Center yellow stickers seem to be found everywhere stuck on those Kansas City daily newspapers and those gun and knife show commercials seem to be found everywhere on that inner city ghetto television encouraging a city already experiencing urban blight such as never seen before, maybe, to buy even more guns to kill oneself and others off in a crime industry that breeds more crime. And for what reason does that gun show listings website have the images of flags all over it? Is it a patriotic thing to kill people off or something. And what’s a patriot anyway, father of our country? And who’s country? And for what reason does the word patriot have the word riot in it. As I have heard it said that the image of the American flag propagates violence. And guns are the worst invention ever. And what would happen if there were no crime tomorrow, would a lot of people be out of a job? As it seems to be an industry that feeds upon itself. The film noir, marketing and advertising of guns and gun violence in all forms of media advertising that breeds gun violence which breeds crime, which breeds news stories about crime which breeds more marketing for crime and images of violence etc. And for what reason do crime dramas and images of gun violence make up about what seems like ninety nine percent of programming on American television. And what would happen if all of those criminal, civil, supreme, federal, local and other kinds of court houses here on planet earth for this industry of crime would close tomorrow? Film Noir

Now that’s interesting. There is an article on the cover of this weeks Village Voice with an image of a gun titled “The Year In Bloody Good Film: Violence Is Golden”. The Village Voice and the LA Weekly did a year in film critics’ poll, and something like the top 10 notable films were all violent or something. What does that say about these days and times when the top ten films in a critics poll are all violent. And somewhere in that article they actually mentioned the phrase “Film Noir”. And I wasn’t exactly sure what the word film noir even meant until I Wikipediaed it up. And that Internet bible dictionary Wikipedia described the phrase “film noir” as a cinematic term used primarily to describe stylish Hollywood crime dramas, particularly those that emphasize moral ambiguity and sexual motivation. Hollywood’s classic film noir period is generally regarded as stretching from the early 1940s to the late 1950s and emerged in the United States during the Depression. The term film noir is French for “black film”. Well, I am not exactly sure what this all means, but I guess the term means to glorify and romanticize violence. And I do find it amazing that any publication with advertising would even mention that phrase in an article these days, that film noir glorifies violence, being that guns and the images of guns are advertised everywhere in film, television, newspapers, telescreens, music lyrics, video games, cartoons, posters, commercials, sides of buses, insides of buses, the floors and walls of every single form of transportation possible, light poles, bus stops, sidewalks, doorsteps, walls, floors, ceilings, t-shirts, clothing, the air and anywhere else on planet earth that looks marketable. It is bombarding the advertising of guns to look cool these days. For what reason could not actors and models or any other person hold an object other than a gun or a weapon to look cool. Could not everyone start posing with flowers, or sticks and stones or something to look cool in these media advertisements these days. And what about public broadcasting non commercial sponsored media. Is public, listener sponsored media an alternative to corporate sponsored media and violent content. And what is corporate sponsored media. And what about technology and violence. Are they related. And what is technology and its advancement. And then there is that fourth amendment of the the right to bear arms constitution, the right to take another life for a piece of property, a shelter over ones head that should be free, a basic necessity of life of mankind, material goods. And the whole world is paying as someone loses their life to gun violence every day as the story is told today and the headlines will read tomorrow, yesterday and thereafter with no end in sight. If only a constitution could be written to abolish guns and the images of guns from everywhere and everyone on the face of planet earth. And in any given publication of most newspapers, half of the film advertisements have images of guns in them. In any given news cast, half of the news program, programming is of crime and violence. On any given prime time television schedule, half of the television programs are of crime, violence and guns. And again, I could copy my blog posts over and over in my appeal to end gun violence. To banish guns and the images of guns from every single place and human being on the face of planet earth. Guns are the worst invention of an industry ever. It is bombarding, the advertising of people holding guns to look cool, and pointing guns at you, the viewer, as you look at the poster or printed advertising. Does not advertising and programing influence and program society and people? Does not glorifying violence influence the world. And what are those TiVo things. Do they help one to filter out offensive programming in the media. It is that vicious cycle that feeds on itself again, advertising feeds marketing, which feeds crime, which feeds the news which feeds more crime which feeds more violence which feeds more advertising which feeds more news cycle. And it is interesting to read what the origin of film noir means, that this whole film noir thing started during the depression, right along with the Satan, Santa Claus marketing of the Christmas holiday shop, buy, spend more money, go into more debt, over consumerism season. Does this glorifying of violence as if it is romantic, reflect the moral decline of the world, the collapse of society? Are wars debasing the value of human life. Is there hope for the world. Will this beast, whatever or whoever this beast this may be ever release its grip on mankind. It seems as if the Emperor is wearing no clothes in the world these days, whatever the moral of that story may mean. What was life like before the invention of guns? I am only one blogger, one voice. No one is free while others are oppressed. Is another world possible? Peace on earth and goodwill to all mankind. And what does this have to do with a No Police State?

The Test

And if I must blogger say on this blogging day that when I hear words and phrases like enrolled agent exam, enrolled agent study guide and enrolled agent examination that perspiration, beads and rivers of sweat want to start from all of the nervousness that seems to go along with those words tests and exams. And so this post happens to be about practicing and studying to take those exams, particularly those IRS Enrolled Agent Study Guides and exams. And if I must blogger say again, just hearing the word IRS brings to mind images of numbers and sometimes those audits that want to go along with those IRS numbers and its taxes.
